Tangshan Zhonghao 4000TPA Dioxolame Project

Tangshan Zhonghao commissioned its 4,000 TPA dioxolane (1,3-dioxolane) plant as a key downstream extension of its polyoxymethylene (POM) production chain. Using high-purity manufacturing technology, the plant produces dioxolane with a purity of up to 99.99%. Construction began in 2020, trial production started in September 2021, and qualified products were first produced in October 2021. Dioxolane is an essential monomer for POM co-polymer production and an excellent organic solvent widely used in lithium battery electrolytes, pharmaceuticals, and oil/grease extraction. This project ensures self-sufficiency in key raw materials, reduces production costs, and improves product quality for the upstream POM unit.
