Types of PODE Plant

Polymethoxydialkyl ether (PODE) is an oligoether synthesized through acetalization. PODE molecules capped with methoxy groups at both terminals are polymethoxydimethyl ethers (DMM3–8, molecular formula CH₃O(CH₂O)ₙCH₃). DMM3–8 has higher viscosity and boiling point than DME and DMM1, so blending it with diesel requires no alterations to existing engine fuel supply systems.

Why Build a PODE Production Plant?

Building a PODE production plant realizes the synthesis of oligoether polymethoxydialkyl ether via acetalization reaction. Its target product DMM3–8 is methoxy-terminated polymethoxydimethyl ether with unique molecular structure; compared with DME and DMM1, DMM3–8 boasts higher viscosity and boiling point, which can be directly blended with diesel without modifying the existing engine fuel supply system, meeting clean diesel additive mass production demand.
