Concentrated recycling technology of formaldehyde is used to recover dilute formaldehyde solutions generated during production processes. Two main approaches exist: decompression flash separation and pressurized distillation enrichment. The latter recovers higher concentrations but risks equipment corrosion due to acid formation. Optimized technologies integrate heat recovery and enhanced column internals to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency, achieving product concentrations exceeding 45 wt%. This technology is essential for producing high-concentration formaldehyde required as feedstock for downstream products such as paraformaldehyde and polyoxymethylene.


In the production of paraformaldehyde and polyoxymethylene, high concentrations of formaldehyde are required as raw materials.
